this weeks highlights:
finals are OVER.
i got myself a new computer adapter!
tomorrow i leave for scotland and ireland!
a little more detail:
i had three finals this week. one of which i actually had to study for (psych). the other two of which i didnt really care about (theme and version).
themes final i though went much better than the midterm did. although i felt much better about it right after i took the test than i did a few minutes later after discussing it with friends. oh well.
version didn't go so well. it was really hard, but unfortunately i didnt think it was unfair since the professor had provided a worksheet for a lot of the vocab i didnt know.. oops. but im taking the class pass/no pass anyways, so im sure ill be fine.
as far as psych goes, we had an hour to answer two out of three questions. i was really nervous about this test seeing as how although i had tried to study for it, i didn't feel nearly as prepared as i would have hoped. but i was happy when i saw the questions, because after reading the first one, i actually felt like i could mostly answer it. didnt feel quite so good about either of the other two.. but its over now at least. i think i gave some good information for the beginning of the second question, and then just started throwing in random information hoping it would help me out.
but yay. no more studying. no more finals. and i was hoping i would be able to say i was done with all of my classes, but unfortunately, a paper that was supposed to be returned to me early this week so i could correct it and turn it back in again, was not returned. which means i still have a little work to do after break. meh. oh well. i also have two make up salsa classes. so that kind of improves things :)
once finals were over i got to have some fun (because, yknow how i never have any fun in this city, it was about time... haha). anyways, i went salsa dancing on thursday then took the last bus home. friday i hung out with samina during the day and made banana chocolate chip muffins then had dinner at giulia's with chloe and zoe. giulia had made a delicious salad and potato gratin.
then we headed out for the night. we tried to go to the peniches, but the line was so long we ended up heading to ayers rock and then barbarousse near hotel de ville like we usually do.
i did love seeing the river at night though. the buildings are all so pretty when they are lit up!
we had a lot of fun though, made some friends with french guys (we might do some pasta party or something in the future when were all back in town), and stayed out dancing till 4am. tons of fun. except that meant saturday i exhausted and needed to pack and get stuff done and the day seemed to slip away. though we did go see some show patrick was in (we were all really happy it ended up being two hours earlier than we were really told).
i then came home and really started packing, because lets be real, i put that off as long as possible. i also then began freaking out about what my summer plans were going to be and realizing that i still dont really know. but i did learn that my beautiful plan to be able to take a class in sacramento for second session much more likely than not is not going to pan out. yayy. not. this makes summer decisions more complicated. i want to come home. but i want to get credit for more than two classes. though i could maybe have an internship at home? i dont knowwwwwwww. stressing out about this stuff is always tons of fun, especially when i am leaving for ten days the following morning (please note the sarcasm here). meh.
so now its past midnight. im still not completely packed. and i have to leave my house a little early tomorrow due to the fact that there will be no public transportation to get me to the gare which means i get to walk. fun life right? haha
I'm done with a round of midterms... I'm tired.
